Le Verger
The road is real. So is the welcome.
An ecotourism estate and Akan kingdoms trail — five stages, from the Comoé River to the clay-brick mosques of Bondoukou.

The estate
An orchard, not a park
Under the mango and avocado trees of Adoukoffikro, the light never arrives whole: it's filtered by the canopy, as in every cacao orchard of the east. You walk, you eat, you listen to stories. You don't queue.
The table
You can tell palm-nut sauce by its oil
When it's ready, a layer of red palm oil rises to the surface — that's the cooks' cue. Foutou, kabato, sauce feuille, smoked fish, wood-fire grills — and juices pressed on the estate: ginger, bissap, baobab, tamarind.
The trail
Five stages, three kingdoms
From the Comoé River and its gallery forests to the clay mosques of Bondoukou, by way of the Indénié royal court at Abengourou and the markets of Niablé, 30 km from the Ghanaian border.
- I Découverte — Abengourou and Le Verger 1 day
- II Royale — The river, the royal court, the border 2 days · 1 night
